I was told after the MRI on my breast last Friday that the results would not be in for about a week. BUT, my Great Physician is the one who is moving things along so quickly on my behalf and our hearts are so grateful!
Dr. Noveroske called with the MRI results this afternoon! He said that the results looked favorable and classified the tumor that was taken out at the time of biopsy as non-aggressive. Both of those statements are music to our ears.
My lumpectomy is scheduled for this coming Monday morning at 10:30am although I have to be at Memorial Hospital by 6:30am. The reason for that is that they are going to do two procedures prior to surgery.
The first one is a needle localization which means that a very thin needle will be placed in my breast to guide him to where the diseased nodule was taken out. During the biopsy they left a tiny “clip” in me to help be a reference point as to where to target.
The second is a nuclear test called a sentinel node biopsy trace. What the Dr. is looking for is the sentinel lymph node which is the first lymph node that the lymph ducts drain into. Radioactive dye will be injected into my breast that will then lead him to the sentinel node. It is important that he look there because this specific lymph node indicates whether or not the cancer has started to spread beyond the breast.
This is being scheduled at an outpatient procedure so if things go according to plan I should be home by Monday afternoon.
Please pray with us that…
~God will give Dr. Noveroske skill and wisdom beyond his own during surgery.
~The cancer has not spread into the lymph nodes and become invasive.
~God’s sweet peace would continue to rule and reign in our hearts…especially the day of surgery.
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in HIM, and I am helped. Therefore, my heart greatly rejoiceth, and with my song will I praise HIM.
My song is this…He’s More Than Wonderful. For a blessing click on, copy and paste the link or type it into your web browser and let your heart and soul bask in what you hear. It is my testimony to God’s goodness in my life.

Praise the Lord, Carmel, for your good news!
Our family also received good news this week, as my daughter-in-law’s angiogram was good. And my brother went home from the hospital yesterday evening.
I like your thoughts on the MRI. I too have though such. I tell my children to be careful what they listen to and to put the word and praises of God into their heads. Our subconscious brain is always listening…and I want it thinking of God.
I shall continue to pray for you, Curt and Carmel, as you take this journey.
I also feel that you are definitely not travelling alone and the prescense of God is felt through these keys!
Praise the Lord, Carmel, for the Lord does great things!
love, Mary
