Last night I noticed a sore red spot on my right breast. When I touched it there seemed to be some sort of lump right under the skin. As a reminder the cancer I had was in my left breast.
I considered not calling Dr. Ansari because it just seemed so unlikely that it was something to really be concerned about BUT when you have had cancer you don’t have that kind of luxury.
My appointment was at 1:00pm and Dr. Ansari did not think that it was anything to be really concerned about but wanted me to see my surgeon, Dr. Noveroske for a second opinion. It was such a blessing that I was able to go from one appointment to the next one right away. Dr. Noveroske seems to think that the problem is more skin related than breast related. He mentioned the possibility of an infected hair follicle as a possibility. I am to put warm compresses on several times a day and come back to see him on the 12th of June.
It is such a blessing to have highly skilled physicians to handle my care but God reminded me again this morning that my hope is always in him. That is such a comfort.
